First Day of Spring

Purple Crocus - 3/11/2015

The Spring Equinox isn't for a few more days but for me, Spring is already here.  It arrives when the weather has started to warm just enough that the crocuses start to bloom.  The first herald of a new growing season is a great sight after the gray winter days.

I look forward to the upcoming year.  I've already been planning my garden and have been thinking about the harvest in the summer and fall.  We've also been thinking of buying some land or a house and how we will grow flowers, trees and a garden there.

With the blooming of the crocus, my new year really begins.

New Place

We've moved and have started a new routine in a new area.  Different house, different school, different schedule.  So I thought it was time to start a new blog based on this new stage in our life.

My wife and me, three kids, two cats and one dog.  We'll see how this goes.
